| | Balto - Xenogears: Cried | ] | Blah, sorry about no updates as of late, just been real busy with work.
Not much has really happend to even write about. Worked on my Jappanese a little, last night by playing Final Fantasy V on an emulator, the japanese version. Only managed to figure out 1 new word taht I didnt know. 神殿 Alone, it means "Shrine", but the way it was used in game was: 風の神殿 Which means "Wind Shrine". I was amazed at how easy to understand it was for me. I got about 5 hours in and then quit for the day. Unfortunatly I saved it incorrectly. -_-;

| | Ashita ga aru | ] | And this is what I came up with!:
If I did something for an hour, enjoyed it for the full hour, laughing and smiling through out whatever activitey I was doing, would I feel as good afterwords as I would if I had gone and done something new for an hour, laughed once and had an indifferent look on my face the entire time.
Eh, perhaps the words are a bit jumbled on the idea I'm try to express here. I'll use the time as my exscuse for that. Point being: I need to try new things, regardless of how much time they'll take up, even if I know I could be doing something I enjoy 100%.
Perhaps I'll reword this all in the mornin'. |

| | dubnofantasyman | ] | Well, finally! I scored my Dark Knight job in Final Fantasy XI, which is great, since I plan on taking that job all the way to the cap. The job is fantastic, I can do mad soloing with it. I went from level 1-11 in less than 24 hours, that is something I can't do with just all jobs.
We formed a new LS in FFXI of all the good players from the old LS. KnightsOfDaedalus is the name. For some reason, Pat said I should be the leader. Go figure.
I've yet to finish up my christmas shopping. I got my Mom and Sister finished. I'm sure they're expecting something along the lines of what I got them, just because, well... I don't know what to get girls, so I go with the obvious. My brother I might just give money to, because who knows what he wants. And Matthew is going to be tough...
I've got places to go and things to do... so later!
A word to the lesser; namely Ray: If you think it is cute and funny to be vulgar in comments that you post in my journal it's time for you to grow up. Once you get that all squared away you can work on paying off your debts to people. Until then, I have banned your IP from being able to leave comments. |

| | Rain in Chicago | ] | I'm so tired. I wasn't really able to sleep last night, due to who knows what. Things are still kind of slow around here. Pretty bored at the momment, too. I'm thinking I might get on FFXI soon here, but I thought I'd write in here, first.
Last night I worked and we were dead. Sometimes I feel guilty for working when we are dead. I don't want to take my bosses money if I'm not really needed! Buisness has been bad there ever since Famous Daves opened up across the road.
Recently, I've been given an oppertunity of a lifetime, to do something I've ALWAYS wanted to do. I can't say what, for reasons that I can't elaborate on! I have to find some way of being able to catch this oppertunity, though... woe is me.
Man, been level 28 in FFXI a few days now... that's depressing. I try so hard to get parties, Japanese parties at that, but nobody invites me... guh. I wanna finish the story in that game! |

| My First Post! |
[Dec. 13th, 2003|06:36 pm] |
Hey, I decided to get one of these darn-fangled Live Journals that are ever so popular. So... here goes nothing.
My life, as a whole, is pretty crazy at the momment. Recently, a lot of my time has been devoted to Final Fantasy XI, an MMORPG that, like most MMORPGs, is addicting as heck. I love to play, interacting with other people, it's the part of my life I call "my social life". I've tried so hard to get a decent character in that game, but due to many reasons, I just can't seem to do so...
Recently I've attained a girlfriend, and well, that's pretty damn cool, to say the least. The problem is... she's not big on games like me, and it becomes a problem. I love games to death, they fill so many voids in my life. I mostly play RPGs for their good stories. I'd love to live a simple life of just simply playing games. I guess I could just say I'm a hardcore gamer. Games come before everything for me. Well, not EVERYTHING, but... if it can be helped, everything! Seriously, though... where else can you save the world, make new friends (until the game ends) and feel the sense of accomplishment that a game gives you when doing well in it? Final Fantasy VIII did so many things for in terms of respecting games, before that game, I'd never really played anything with such a deeply involved storyline, really. The scene in Final Fantasy VIII where Irvine is to snipe the sorceress is probably the most memorable scene in gaming as a whole for me. Irvine takes the shot, everything seems fine and then... DENIED! The Sorceress (Edea) stops the bullet in mid air. That's all cool and stuff, but man... When Squall took charge of the situation after that, I just fell in love with how a game could move me! It was just like: "No!! Irvine missed, this can't be good. ... Holy shit! Squall just beat some ass, jacked a car and brought it to a schreeching hault infront of the sorceress." It was like... the coolest thing I'd ever whitnessed in a game. I mean, Squall, just a normal guy like me or you, took charge of his shit like he was told to! This wasn't any jumping on a goomba shit! The thing is, I didn't see it coming, I didn't see Squall as somebody who would take charge of a situation, even if he was told to do. It was just so... life changing for me. Oh man.. I'm going way off on a tangent. ...What was I talking about?
I need to sleep, crap.... Yeah. Games are awesome! Whoa... |
